Curvy Girls Unite!

I've been thinking about my other post this week and how I'm trying to lose weight. I am very curvy and I dont want to lose my curves. I saw Jessica Simpson on Ellen today and it got me thinking. When did curvy become unsexy? Marilyn Monroe is a sex icon and she was a 37-23-36. Thats a teeny tiny waist but she was the perfect hourglass. Being a busty woman myself I think clothes make us look bigger than we actually are. I tribute this blog post to Curvy women across America. If you are confident in your own skin then you can change America's mindset about size 2 girls. If I were a guy I'd be afraid I would break a girl that small anyways. We should lose weight to be healthier but not lose our curves. Here are some photos of famous curvy women!

All of these woman are considered "Fat" by hollywood standards. From now on, "Fat" actresses are my favorites. Note that I picked 3 actresses who wouldnt be considered fat in normal world. Below is me with my mom. Its the only full body shot I could find. Curves are in I tell ya!

Jillian Michaels is a Bitch

But I LOVE her!!!

About a month ago I bought the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I'm pleased to say (knock on wood) that this Friday I should have lost 10 lbs. It is one of the hardest workouts I've ever done but it doesnt last very long and is extremely intense. For someone as busy as I am that is a great deal.

My roommate comes home from work and finds me grunting and cussing at the tv. My body hurts so bad but not so bad that I cant move the next day. I think you are suppose to have 3 or 5lb weights. Well I have 8lb, maybe thats why my arms feel like jello.

I highly recommend this workout to anyone looking to tone up and get in shape. I want to lose 20 more pounds and at the rate I'm going I might be in a bikini by July 4th!!!

I did South Beach a few years ago and lost 25lbs. I have kept it off and lost more since then. I have a hard time committing to no carbs for 2 weeks again so this time I'm just being mindful of my carb intake. I am allowing myself 2 tablespoons of mint chocolate chip ice cream when I need something sweet. My coworker Allison and I have stopped going for our afternoon sweets and we walk down to Forsyth Park for lunch a few days a week.

I've already picked out my goal bikini. When I'm to my goal weight I might even post a picture of me in it. Unlikely, none of you want to see that I promise! haha. Here is what I'm working towards. The bottoms I get will cover a little more than that. I dont think my torso is near that long. Okay maybe I'll keep wearing tankinis forever.

Weighing in on new products:Household edition

Ask my friends and family and they will tell you that I am a product whore! I love to try the latest product and I will tel you what I think about it. I want to weigh in a few different that I have either tried or havent yet and let you what I think.

Purex 3 in one sheets
This is a product I have and LOVE! Its super easy to use and smells amazing. It is reasonably priced too. You get about 26 loads for $8 and if you buy a comparable bottle of detergent its about the same price. This includes your dryer sheet though. So its worth it. I gave my mom one to try and it won her over as well. It takes up less space in the laundry room or in your basket if you have to travel to do your laundry.

Kleenex hand towels
This product is ridiculous. Why in the world would you come out with a disposable hand towel when majority of Americans want to go green?? Come on Kleenex this is a terrible idea. I have 2 friends who went paperless. The only paper products in their house was toilet paper. They gave up paper towels and I was very impressed. I do love paper towels but I use a hand towel in the bathroom. I cycle through about 1 a week and wash the used ones. I dont feel unsanitary.

Eclipse Bucket

Here is a product I am dying to try. If you love green products then check out this website: http://www.casabella.com/
This bucket has channels in the bottom that separate the dirt from the water. Its made from recycled soda bottles. There is a whole line of products but I want the bucket. Its only $12.99.

Reusable grocery bags
Publix is my favorite grocery store here in Savannah. There is one right around the corner from my house. They sell these reusable bags for $1. During October I got special hot pink ones for breast cancer and this past month they had Easter themed bags. I have about 6 of them and I love to take them with me because I'm not only helping the planet but they distribute the weight of groceries and they are easier to carry up the stairs. I'm a fan.

My life as a Property Manager

After starting a career in construction management and Historic Preservation, karma smacked me across the face and I was unemployed for 3 months last summer. A good friend introduced me to his dad who owns a property management company here in Savannah. I'm about to complete my first year there and I've seen and heard some crazy things. I wanted to share a few that I have to just laugh at because my job when it comes down to it can be ridiculous sometimes.

I have a tenant who is a hoarder. Yes, as in she should be on that tv show. I havent taken a photo of the inside of her apartment but here is an idea .
Yes its about that bad. She is an older lady, maybe in her 60s and apparently she used to be a topless dancer. I dont know much about her because she spits a little when she talks and doesnt have a phone so I try to avoid direct contact all together. I see her all the time walking around downtown Savannah drinking a red bull.

I am also the self proclaimed welcome committee for all things cool here. As long as I can remember I would take the new kid in school under my wing and show them the ropes. I love when someone close to my age moves here for the first time and knows nothing. I show them all the cool bars and restaurants and tell them what types of people hang out where. Hopefully I'm actually as cool as I think I am.

When dealing with students I also get to deal with crazy parents. I get Dads who think my job is to take their money and screw their kids out of it. I have many moms who call me worried about where their little baby is going to live. Mom doesnt know that I found a bong in baby's living room and she got in trouble for stopping up her toilet with condoms because she wasnt aware they werent flushable, yea that happens a lot believe it or not.

So here is my list of things that I go over whenever I move someone in because people have done them all:
- Condoms are not flushable
- If your heat isnt working make sure you have had the gas hooked up
- Dishwasher liquid is the only thing to be used in the dishwasher, liquid soap will ruin it
- if you wash your bong in the dishwasher make sure it doesnt break, the glass can ruin it
- please dont puke in the bushes the day before the landscapers come
- Kindly dont have sex on your very old and rickety balcony, you could fall through (they werent hurt)
- If you are going to open your windows dont call me when you get a wasp/bee/fly in your house
- the best way to keep rats/roaches from getting in your house is to clean up food debris
- please dont leave candles burning on top of your cable box, this WILL start a fire
- Please dont have sex in the elevator of your building when 80% of your neighbors are old enough to be your parents
- This property is not to be used as a methlab, coke den, whore house, or art studio
- Please do not allow couch surfers or vacation exchanges at this property
- Graffitti in your apartment must be painted over before you vacate
- please make sure you are fully clothed when I come over for an inspection or with a colleague (unless you are an attractive male coed who has nice abs)
- and please for God's sake. DO NO MA'M me!!!
